Kelley Menighan Hensley took over the role of savvy businesswoman Emily Stewart
on As the World Turns in July 1992. In 2002, she was nominated for the Outstanding Supporting Actress
in a Drama Series Emmy Award.
A native of Glenview, Illinois, Kelley attended Southern Methodist University,
where she majored in theater and English, and minored in art history. Subsequently, her additional training in Los Angeles
included dance at the Jane Perry Dance Studio and acting with private coaches. Kelley also worked for Los
Angeles producers Michael and Melissa Trikilis, from whom she gained industry knowledge about everything from budgeting to
casting.
In addition to doing regional theater, Kelley has appeared in the daytime drama Santa Barbara; on the primetime/
television series, America's Most Wanted; and in the television movie, The Gambler: The Luck of The
Draw. Her feature movie credits include Charlie Chaplin, Los Posas Road, and Guns.
Kelley is married to the actor Jon Hensley, who plays Holden Snyder on
As the World Turns, and they have two children, Sophie May (b. 12/23/98) and Spencer
James (b. 1/31/02). She enjoys collecting antique furniture, quilts, and jewelry, as well as working out, cooking,
and watching old movies. Her birthday is February 15.
