SOD - Dec. 24, 2002 issue
Roundup - If you could change one thing that happened on your show this year, what would it
be?
Kelley Menighan Hensley (Emily, ATWT)
'Porbably Martha [Byrne, Lily/Rose] not being pregnant during the spa
scenes. If only she could have gotten pregnant a little earlier, we could all have been pregnant together. She
could have been less selfish and just done it at the same time as Maura [West, Carly] and me.'

Most Beautiful
Kelley Menighan Hensley (ATWT, Emily)
As the World Turns' Kelley Menighan Hensley is one lucky
lady. She landed the man of many fans' dreams - ATWT's Jon Hensley, who plays
hero Holden. He was surrounded by beautiful women all day, yet it took a woman
with Menighan Hensley's unique spirit and style to win him over. She's a combination
of fun, sass and sophistication. With her model figure and gamine0like blonde
'do, she's strikingly original.
Not only is she the apple of her husbands eye, but his
on screen love interest Martha Byrne (Lily) adores her, too. 'I know it's cliche,
but beauty truly comes from the inside, and that statement couldn't be more true when you describe Kelley Hensley. There are very few people in this world who are as generous and as unselfish as Kelley. Anyone dear to her can pick up the phone and ask for the moon and she would give it without the blink of
an eye. That is true beauty. Oh,
yeah,' Byrne adds, 'and the girl is hot! I love her.'

Behind the
Scenes
Shattering the myth that starving actors must wait tables
until they get their big break, Kelley Menighan Hensley (Emily) got her start in
show business hehind the scenes. 'I was able to see from the ground up what it
took to put together a video or a movie,' she says of her time spent working at a production company. 'It was great!' While Hensley says she has no desire to direct,
she does own up to a certain fascination with producing. 'I love the idea of
bringing people together,' she shares. 'It's always been something I thought
I could do.' In fact, just prior to being cast as Emily, the struggling actress
had updated her resume to send to various production companies, including Disney and Castle Rock, but her instincts told her
to hold off. 'It's a good thing I didn't send them out,' she says with a smile. 'Or maybe it's a bad thing - I could have a producer credit somewhere!'
